Architecture

I think we should discuss the architecture of the game, how do we imagine it. We can even create a diagram on some drawing service, like Cacoo (maybe someone knows a better one?), so anyone can edit.

At first I think we should make detailed (but abstract) graph of inner game core. After that we can start thinking about the "big picture", how we can make it multiplayer, how and where we save player progress, how we sync data across the players in one game, etc.

We can also use some existing models, so we don't have to reinvent the wheel. Looking for all kinds of suggestions :).

Great idea! We need sth like this, BalaGoutham stated this earlier, but we hadn't time and resources. Cacoo looks nice. I'll try to make some diagram later today, and as I have seen while exploring the Cacoo, it has service for sharing those diagrams, so anyone can make changes later on.

Well, existing models, what do you suggest? I have know about few models which i'd like to implement, but it would be great to find out, if we can use some parts of source code,eg. dynamic populating of map clusters (Minecraft), unit navigation through map (almost any RTS game), strategy graphics engine (I think something like Warcraft 3 is good start point), and it would be nice, if we gained (somehow) models - I mean like 3D models... :)

So, this is my first version of how client app should work, but it is faaaaaaaaaar from complete version.
